I had a rocking horse just like that as a little girl, though mine still had his leather ears attached. At one point my faithful steed served as a ‘bobsled’ during the 1988 Winter Olympic games in Calgary. I vaguely recall watching the games on a black and white tv and jumping onto the horse and rocking whenever the bobsled teams were racing. Sadly, my horse and I did not medal that year (or ever).

Glad I could give you a little trip down memory lane! I don’t think we ever officially named it, but while you were rocking your way to near victory, my cousin and I were working on inventing our own future Olympic event that involved the artful tossing and catching of couch cushions. Laying on your back and trying to keep them spinning in the air with your feet was paramount to a high score.
